Hate #1: Mary is not a virgin but a sinner with many children

This is an insult to God's infinite wisdom, predetermined plan, and foreknowledge in choosing the mother of his son.

“...Do not let arrogance come out of your mouth; For the Lord is a God of knowledge,..." (1 Samuel 2:3)

The omniscient (all-knowing), omnipotent (all-powerful) God never chose a sinner like Eve but the exact opposite of Eve.

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you." (Jeremiah 1:5)

The new Eve (Mary) was filled with grace, meaning there was no taint of sin in her for she was also born of a miracle.

"God also testified to it by signs and wonders and various miracles, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will." (Hebrews 2:4)

According to a 2nd Century hidden gospel, Mary was born through divine intervention. Because she was an answered prayer, Mary's mother Anna offered her to the temple and dedicated her life to God. Her room was made a sanctuary and at age 3 she was raised in the temple and fed by the angels. When she was 12, God found her a guardian and husband-to-be, Joseph. The priest would summon her back to the temple to help weave the curtains. During this time, the angel appeared to Mary and told her that she would conceive the Holy Child.

This hidden gospel was one of the hotly debated writings during the 3rd, 4th, and 5th century doctrinal debates, which was excluded from the Bible and condemned by Pope Innocent I in 405. Once revered but later declared invalid by the Scholars of the Church.

It was not included in the Bible because of its controversial narrative of Mary's miraculous birth, the virginal conception of Jesus, and perpetual virginity after his birth. The Church Scholars thought it was (1) not an eyewitness account, (2) gnostic (knowledge not suited for everyone to read), and (3) non-Jewish. Who would believe that Mary was fed by the angels at age 3?

In the Bible, Mary was a simple, humble, faithful, and pure woman, whose womb was the Holy tabernacle, the perfect vessel for the Holy Child Jesus, sinless AVE MARIA!

“The virgin will be with child, and she will give birth to a son, ..." (Isaiah 7:14)

"...For this child has been conceived in her womb through the Holy Spirit". (Matthew 1:20)

"No good tree bears bad fruit."(Luke 6:43)

MARY'S ROYAL BLOODLINE (Davidic)

Mary was a distant cousin of Joseph (her betrothed husband). Her father's line also came from the line of King David. She descended from the father's line of Joachim, Panther, Levi, Nathan, many generations, and King David. While Joseph's father line was from Jacob, Matthan, many generations, Solomon, and King David.

MARY'S CHILDREN (No valid proof)

Many believed in the few references in the Bible about Jesus Christ's supposed brothers, half-brothers, and step-brothers but some references support Jesus, being the only son of Mary.

1) Brothers in question

"Is this not the carpenter’s son? Is not his mother called Mary? And his brothers James, Joses, Simon, and Judas?" (Matthew 13:55 and Mark 6:3)

This verse is in the form of a question, not a statement, which means that the person in the synagogue was trying to verify the identity of Jesus. Since it is a question, it's doubtful, and therefore, it is not a valid proof of contention beyond reasonable doubt that Jesus' supposed brothers were the sons of Mary.

2) Patrilineal Descent (Father line)

There was no definite mention in the Bible that would verify the supposed brothers of Jesus as sons of Joseph (patrilineal) or sons of Mary (matrilineal) except they were referred to only as brothers of Jesus.

In the old Jewish tradition, the true identity of the son was determined by the identity of the father (Patrilineal descent).

"Jesus, Son of David, have pity on me." (Mark 10:47)

“Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to receive Mary,.. (Matthew 1:20)
These verses do not make Jesus and Joseph brothers but rather both of them descended from a distinct bloodline, in the same father line (Royal bloodline or Davidic line). The Bible identified the father line of many sons except Jesus' brothers.
"Jesus the son of Joseph, from Nazareth." (John 1:45)

"You are Simon the son of Jonah". (Matthew 16:17)

"James the son of Zebedee, and his brother John." (Matthew 4:21)"

"James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus" (Matthew 10:3)

"Ishbaal, the son of Saul" (2 Samuel 2:8)

"Rehoboam, the son of Solomon. (1 Kings 12:21)

"David was the son of Jesse from Bethlehem." (1 Samuel 17:12)

In Galatians 1:19, James was referred to as the brother of the Lord during Jesus' active ministry. There was no mention of James as the son of Joseph. This James could be a confidant (very close friend or relative). Even if he was the son of Joseph in the previous marriage, this is not valid proof of contention beyond reasonable doubt that he was the son of Mary.

3) Mary's Mistaken Identity

There were different conflicting Marys in the Bible but only one thing's clear: Mary, the mother of Jesus was specifically identified without the names of supposed brothers.

(1) Mary, the mother of Jesus
(2) Mary of Magdala
(3) Mary, the wife of Clopas
"...the mother of Jesus said to him, 'They have no wine.'" (John 2:3)

"Standing near the cross of Jesus were his mother and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene." (John 19:25)

"...together with the women and Mary, the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren." (Acts 1:14)

"Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary his mother..." (Luke 2:34)

(4) Mary, the mother of James and Joseph
(5) Mary, the mother of James
"...Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary, the mother of James the younger and of Joses, and Salome." (Mark 15:40)

"Mary Magdalene, Mary, the mother of James, and Salome..." (Mark 16:1)

"It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary, the mother of James" (Luke 24:10)

(6) Mary, the mother of Joses
"Mary Magdalene and Mary, the mother of Joses." (Mark 15:47)

"Mary Magdalene and the other Mary were there, ." (Matthew 27:61)

(7) Mary, the mother of John, also called Mark
"...he went to the house of Mary, the mother of John, also called Mark." (Acts 12:12)

These verses, especially Mark 15:40-41, must be a case of mistaken identity since there were too many Marys in the Bible. Without specifically mentioning the names of other brothers with Jesus in referring to Mary, this again is not a valid proof of contention beyond reasonable doubt that Mary, the mother of Jesus, was the mother of these men.

"Mary, the mother of James the younger and of Joses, and Salome." (Mark 15:40-41)

4) Fanatic Followers

The term brothers or brethren was used more often during Jesus' active ministry, which was more closely related to apostles, disciples, believers, or the brotherhood of Christ. In the same way that most Christian fellowships today, call each other brothers.

At Jesus' 30+ years of age, Mary already understood what her son's mission was so she could not be following him among the crowds. She could be just right next to him. Jesus' celebrity status gained momentum and his popularity soared high that someone's mother and brothers could have owned him as their own.

"Someone told him, 'Behold, your mother and your brothers are standing outside. They want to speak with you.'" (Matthew 12:47)

"Who are my mother and my brethren?.. Behold, my mother and my brethren. Whoever does the will of God is my brother and sister and mother." (Mark 3:33-34)

"After that (Jesus) was seen by over five hundred brethren at once,..." (1 Corinthians 15:6)

Enchanted by Jesus' charisma, these brothers (the many Marys and James) were fanatic followers or fans of the Lord since he was already a superstar in his time and crowds would gather and follow wherever he went.

"When Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on the mountain. After he was seated, his disciples gathered around him." (Matthew 5:1)

"However, such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat down while all the people stood on the shore." (Matthew 13:2)

"After departing from there, Jesus came into the region of Judea beyond the Jordan. Again the crowds gathered around him, and, as was his custom, he began to teach them. (Mark 10:1)

5) Firstborn for Consecration,
Rite of Initiation

In the old Jewish tradition, the firstborn would mean consecration and not the birth of many children. Jesus opened the womb of Mary since he was born first or none were born before. Being the firstborn or the one who opened the womb of Mary, he was to be consecrated to God. The argument that "firstborn infers many others after him" again is not a valid proof of contention beyond reasonable doubt that would point to Mary as the mother of many children, other than Jesus himself.

"Consecrate each firstborn to me, whatever opens the womb in Israel, whether human or animal; it belongs to me." (Exodus 13:2)

"as it is prescribed in the Law of the Lord: 'Every firstborn male shall be consecrated to the Lord,'" (Luke 2:23)

"You will say to Pharaoh, Thus says the Lord: 'Israel is my firstborn son.'" (Exodus 4:22)

6) Angel's hint: The child and mother

There were no other children when Jesus was a baby, when they fled to Egypt to escape Herod's edict to "kill all the boys in Bethlehem," and upon their return to Israel.

...an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream..., “Arise, take the child and his mother, and flee to Egypt." (Matthew 2:13)

"an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt and said, “Arise, take the child and his mother, and go to the land of Israel, for those who sought to kill the child are dead. " (Matthew 2:19)

7) Temple's hint: Found by parents

There were no other children when Jesus was 12 years old. No brothers helped in finding him when he was lost in the temple of Jerusalem. He was found alone by his parents.

"Every year his parents used to go to Jerusalem for the feast of Passover. And when Jesus was twelve years old, they made the journey as usual for the feast... they set off for home, and the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem... but when they failed to find him, they returned to Jerusalem to search for him. After three days they found him in the temple,..." (Luke 2:41-45)

8) Jesus' hint: John as caretaker

There were no other siblings during Jesus' crucifixion. No brothers to care for his mother Mary as Jesus entrusted her to his most beloved apostle, John.

"Behold, your mother." And from that hour the disciple took her into his home." (John 19:27)

9) Revelation's hint: One child

There were no other siblings even in the Revelation of John.

"She gave birth to a son, a male child who is destined to rule all the nations with an iron rod. And her child was taken up directly to God and to his throne." (Revelation 12:5)

10) Lost in Translations (fallible Bible)

The Word of God (original Hebrew or Greek manuscripts) is infallible (perfect) but the slight variations in the English translations made it fallible (imperfect). Despite Peter's assertion that they were guided by the Holy Spirit, old traditions dominated patriarchal ideology or male bias. Some women in the Bible were obscured or treated with an unfavorable reputation.

Peter himself did not want the voice of a female apostle, Martin Luther did not want the narrative about Mary, and Pope Innocent I did not want to hear about Joseph's life story. That is why some gospels were hidden by the Scholars of the Church. Only the Book of Revelation had a warning not to add or take away what was written, which made it free from bias.

"I warn everyone who hears the words of prophecy in this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues written about in this book; if anyone takes away from the words in this book of prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are written about in this book. (Revelation 22:18-19)

We could go on and on to find verses that could taint the purity of Mary. If Jesus' language was Aramaic and the Bible's language was originally Hebrew, followed by Greek, then there is a high probability that today's English versions of different Bibles are getting lost in translations, lost in context, lost in the essence of the original manuscripts.

Take for example, how the different translations of Mark 3:21 made a slight change in the meaning. The words people, relatives, friends, and family are closely related but very much different from each other.

New American Standard Bible
"And when His own people heard about this..."

New Catholic Bible
"When his relatives heard about this..."

King James Version
"And when his friends heard of it..."

New International Version
"When his family heard about this,..."

Another example in Genesis 3:15, her, he, and it, are different. One refers to a woman, the other a man, and the third an animal or thing.

New Catholic Bible
"Her offspring will crush your head and you will bruise his heel."

New King James Version
"He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel."

Orthodox Jewish Bible
"It shall crush thy rosh, and thou shalt strike his akev (heel)"

Another example in Luke 1:28, "highly favoured" is different from "full of grace" and "freely beloved". The original word was in Greek "kecharitomene" which means "full of grace", no taint of original sin, while "highly favored" would mean a sinner with favors from God.

New Catholic Bible
"The angel came to her and said, 'Hail, full of grace! The Lord is with you.'"

King James Version
"And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee:"

Revised Geneva Translation
"And the angel went in to her, and said, 'Hail, you who are freely beloved. The Lord is with you."

No matter how far too much or too little we've read and understood the Bible, Mary doesn't deserve to be hated nor mocked like the scribes who mocked Jesus Christ in Mark 3:22.

Scribes to Jesus:
"He is possessed by Beelzebul, and He casts out demons by the prince of demons."

Non-believers to Mary:
"She is not a virgin, but a mere handmaid, a sinner, and with many children."

The Bible explicitly stated that Jesus and Mary were one with the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit in Jesus Christ:
“I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it came to rest on him. (John 1:32)

The Holy Spirit in Mary:
"The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you." (Luke 1:35)

The Bible strongly warned those who continually mock the Holy Spirit of Jesus and Mary.
“Amen, I say to you,... whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven; he is guilty of an eternal sin.” (Mark 3:28-29)

His words are perfect. His ways are mysterious, as mysterious as Mary having an only child (Jesus), and yet she had many children too (all of us)!

“Can you fathom the mysteries of God?" (Job 11:7)

"If I tell you about earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe when I speak to you about heavenly things?" (John 3:12)

Remember Revelation 12:17, If you hate the VIRGIN MARY, you are one with the devil.
"Then the dragon became enraged at the woman and went off to wage war on the rest of her offspring, those who keep God’s commandments and bear witness to Jesus." (Revelation 12:17)
