Hate #5: Mary's rosary prayer is a vain repetition

Psalm 148 commands all living creatures to praise God. One way of connecting to a higher being is to pray to one God (monotheistic Christian), or many deities (polytheistic pagan). As a sign of reverence, the Bible taught us the proper way to pray is to kneel and bow down or prostrate to a divine presence.

Jesus
"After withdrawing from them about a stone’s throw, he knelt down and prayed. " (Luke 22:41)

Solomon
"When Solomon had finished saying all of these prayers and supplications to the Lord, he rose up from before the altar of the Lord where he had been kneeling..." (1 Kings 8:54)

Daniel
"Three times a day he fell to his knees, praying to God and giving him thanks..." (Daniel 6:11)

David
"Come forth! Let us bow down to worship him; let us kneel before the Lord..." (Psalm 95:6)

Depending on each personal intention (glorification, confession, gratitude, and pleas for graces, help, protection, and mercy), a prayer can either be good or bad, repeated or not, memorized or not as long as it invokes a supreme being (God).

To repeat the prayer is to imitate the prayers of the angels in heaven. To keep repeating a prayer is to get a fast-track answer to the petition. When there is an answer, the prayer is no longer a vain repetition.

PRAYERS THAT REPEAT

Prayer of the Angels
"Day and night they never stop saying: 'Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God, the Almighty, who was, and who is, and who is to come.'" (Revelation 4:8)

Prayer of David (Psalms of David)
"Alleluia. Praise the Lord, O my soul. I will praise the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God throughout my life." (Psalm 146)

Prayer canticle (Song of praise)
"Blessed are you, Lord, the God of our ancestors, worthy of praise and glory forever.
Blessed is your holy and glorious name, worthy of praise and glory forever.
Blessed are you in the temple of your holy glory, worthy of praise and glory forever... (Daniel 3:52-54)

Jesus Christ was not against repetitive prayers for he repeated his prayer 3 times in the same words in the Agony in the Garden of Gethsemane in Matthew 26:44.

"He left them there and went away again, praying for the third time in the same words as before." (Matthew 26:44)

What he meant by babbling endlessly in Matthew 6:7-8, was more about the real intention of the person than the prayer itself, just like what the Pharisees did...

"When you pray do not go on babbling endlessly as the pagans do, for they believe that they are more likely to be heard because of their many words. Do not imitate them." (Matthew 6:7-8)

PRAYERS OF GOOD AND EVIL

Prayer of the Pharisee (DISLIKED by Jesus)
"I thank you, God, that I am not like other people—greedy, dishonest, adulterous—or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week and pay tithes on all my income." (Luke 18:11-12)

Prayer of the Tax collector (LIKED by Jesus)
"God, be merciful to me, a sinner." (Luke 18:13)

The prayers of the Rosary are repetitious but not vain or useless repetitions as one of the prayers was taught by Jesus Christ himself, the others were verses from the Bible, the rest were added to praise and glorify God, and to beg for mercy.

4TH CENTURY, 300 PRAYERS

In the 4th century, the Rosary was originally patterned after Paul, an Egyptian and first Christian hermit, who lived alone in the desert of Thebes to avoid persecution from the age of 16, until his death at 113. He prayed 300 prayers daily by tossing 300 peebles, 1 peeble each to keep count of his prayers.

7TH CENTURY, PSALTER

In the 7th century, the 300 prayers evolved to The Psalter, a recitation of 150 Psalms of the Bible or the Book of Praises and Hymns, prayed by the Celtic monks who used 150 knots or beads to keep count of the Psalms. This is similar to the Celtic Knot Prayer Beads, which symbolize the infinity of love and eternal life of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

12TH CENTURY, PATERNOSTER

In the 12th century, The Psalter or the 150 Psalms was replaced with Paternoster, a recitation of 150 Our Fathers since it was easy to memorize by those who didn't know how to read and write the Psalms.

1214, DOMINIC'S VISION

In the year 1214, a monk named Dominic de Guzman, a Castilian Catholic priest and founder of the Dominican order asked for the intercession of the Virgin Mary in fighting against Albigensian heretics from Southern France, who rejected the Christian way of life.

He punished himself for 3 days, for the shame and humiliation, for the sins of the heretics, and for the poor example of Catholics. Then he fell into a coma.

While in a state of coma, Dominic saw a vision of the Virgin Mary accompanied by 3 angels and told him, "Dear Dominic, do you know which weapon the Blessed Trinity wants to use to reform the world? If you want to win souls, preach the Angelic Psalter."

13TH CENTURY, ANGELIC PSALTER

Thus, in the 13th century, the Paternoster, or the 150 Our Father was replaced with Angelic Psalter or the 150 Hail Mary. This was from the greetings of angel Gabriel and Elizabeth (Luke 1:28, 45), and inspired with devotion to the Virgin Mary, who interceded for help through visions and miracles since the 10th century.

15TH CENTURY, ROSARY

In the 15th century, Alanus de Rupe, a Dominican friar, continued to popularize the Angelic Psalter to what is now known as the Rosary, from the Latin word rosarium, which means a bouquet of roses.

ROSARY, BOUQUET OF ROSES

The Rosary is a string of 60 rose beads divided into 5 decades. Each bead represents a rose of love for the Virgin Mary, whose places of apparitions and miracles always smelled of roses, a distinct scent of a thousand roses. Each decade represents a mystery: 5 Joyful, 5 Sorrowful, and 5 Glorious. The 5 Luminous Mysteries were added by Pope John Paul II in October 2002.

ROSARY, ASKING FOR FAVORS

The Rosary is not only a prayer invoking the Virgin Mary but also of her son Jesus Christ. It reminds us to reflect on the Mysteries of our Salvation, and the oneness of Jesus and Mary. It celebrates Life (the coming of Christ through Mary), Death, and the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. The repetition of the Hail Mary is intended to call upon the Virgin Mary's help with our petitions so that: (1) She can plead for us, and (2) Obtain favors for us from Jesus Christ.

ROSARY GRANTS FAVORS
1571, Battle of Lepanto

October 7, 1571, from the Catholic perspective, the events that led to the miraculous victory of the Christian European naval forces known as the Holy League (Christians) against the "supposedly" undefeated Ottoman Turks (Muslims), was credited with Pope Pius V's urgent call for the faithful to PRAY THE ROSARY while the Battle of Lepanto (Navpaktos in Greek) raged on. To commemorate the battle, Pope Pius V declared October 7 as the feast day of Our Lady of Victory, now known as Our Lady of the Rosary.

"For he is the living God, enduring forever. His kingdom will never be destroyed, and his dominion shall be without end. He delivers, rescues, and works signs and wonders in heaven and on earth." (Daniel 6:27-28)

ROSARY FAVORED BY THE SON
-To Jesus through Mary

As God highly favored the Virgin Mary, so did Jesus Christ. As an obedient son, Jesus Christ would NEVER SAY NO to whatever his mother Mary asks of him just like what He did at the Wedding in Cana (John 2).

No one comes close to the Father except through the Son, Jesus Christ. No one comes close to the Son except through the Mother, Mary. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6), but our disobedience to God's covenant created a distance between us and the one true God.

"Some people are so foolish that they think they can go through life without the help of the Blessed Mother. Love the Madonna and pray the Rosary, for her Rosary is the weapon against the evils of the world today. All graces given by God pass through the Blessed Mother."
-- (St. Padre Pio, the holy priest who experienced 50 years of stigmata, or the appearance of bodily wounds from the crucifixion of Jesus Christ).

"Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective." (James 5:16)

To obtain God's graces and mercy for our sins, we need help from someone close to our savior Jesus Christ, his mother Mary, to pray for us. Thus, we need to repeatedly invoke the Angelic salutation so we can get help from the Virgin Mary to get close to Jesus Christ.

"Please pray to the Lord, our God, for us." (Jeremiah 37:3)

ROSARY PUNCHES DEVIL

Praying the Rosary every day fulfills the promise of protection for the whole family, abundant graces, and winning against spiritual warfare. In one of the transcripts of the exorcist priests, the devil admitted that every HAIL MARY is a "blow to his head".

Every repetition of the Angelic salutation verses in the Bible crushes the devil's proud head because it speaks of the Word becoming Flesh in the Salvation of Mankind. When we pray the Rosary,

"we relive the joy of the announcement of the birth of the Messiah and celebrate the mystery of God becoming man in Mary’s womb."

ROSARY BREAKS DEVIL'S CURSE

It is the devil's agenda to see the downfall of mankind, to break the foundation of the family, and the church. The Rosary breaks the curse by keeping the family and the church, protected. The devil thrives in...

1) Broken family, divorce, abortion.
This is the devil's main agenda because it's easy to manipulate a broken and unwanted child with no family to lean on. To feel unloved is to hate a mother, thereby mocking the mother of Christ.

2) Church scandals and deceptions.
The devil's 2nd agenda is church infiltration, to get inside the church and tempt God's weak servants. The "church" is the "harlot woman" in Revelation 17, because, "she" has enriched herself with money, under the pretext of prosperity. "Take along no gold or silver or copper in your purses" (Matthew 10:9).

ROSARY REAL VS. FAKE

REAL. The real Rosary has a cross with an I N R I above it or INRI. INRI is a Latin abbreviation of Iesus Nazarenus, Rex Iudaeorum. In English, it means Jesus the Nazarene, King of the Jews. "Pilate had the inscription written and fastened to the cross" (John 19:19), to signify that a faithful Christian lies on the cross.

FAKE. Beware of deceptions and fake rosaries that have

1) inverted cross,
2) pentagram,
3) compass
4) sun rays

Know the power of the real Rosary. The devil himself admitted that "If all Christians knew the power of the Rosary, it would be his end". So hammer down some devil heads today and pray the Rosary every day!

ROSARY PRAYERS

The Our Father or the Lord's Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13) taught us to Glorify God first, Obey God's Commandments before seeking food, mercy, compassion, and protection.

The Hail Mary (Luke 1:28, 42), was a combination of greetings by the angel Gabriel and Mary's cousin Elizabeth on the immaculate conception of Jesus Christ.
The Holy Mary, Glory Be, and the Fatima prayers were added later for Virgin Mary's intercession, Glorifying God, and asking for God's mercy.

ROSARY PROMISES

The following 15 promises were revealed to Alanus de Rupe by the Blessed Virgin Mary for those who devote themselves to praying the Rosary.

1. Receive signal graces.

2. Special protection.

3. Destroy vice, decrease sin, and defeat heresies.

4. Withdraw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of eternal things.

5. The soul shall not perish.

6. Never be conquered by misfortune. In His justice, God will not chastise them; nor shall they perish by an unprovided death, i.e., be unprepared for heaven. Sinners shall convert. The just shall persevere in grace and become worthy of eternal life.

7. Not die without the sacraments of the Church.

8. Light of God and the plenitude of His graces. At the moment of death, they shall participate in the merits of the saints in paradise.

9. Deliver from purgatory.

10. Merit a high degree of glory in heaven.

11. Obtain all that you ask.

12. Aided in necessities.

13. The entire celestial court during their life and at the hour of their death.

14. Beloved children and the brothers and sisters of my only Son, Jesus Christ.

15. A great sign of predestination.

Remember Revelation 12:17, If you hate the VIRGIN MARY, you are one with the devil.
"Then the dragon became enraged at the woman and went off to wage war on the rest of her offspring, those who keep God’s commandments and bear witness to Jesus." (Revelation 12:17)
